All the rooms at Beaches Sandy Bay have a private balcony that provides guests with an unobstructed view of beautiful scenery -- from the turquoise ocean to the lush green foliage of its gardens. Beaches Sandy Bay offers seven room categories in all, and these bright and airy rooms are categorized as: Deluxe, Premium, Luxury Oceanview, 1-Bedroom Oceanview, Beachfront 1-Bedroom Suite, Beachfront 1-Bedroom Honeymoon Suite, and the 2-Bedroom Beachfront Suite. All the rooms are air-conditioned and are furnished with a king size bed and single sofa or two double beds. The rooms are also equipped with an in-room safe, telephone connection, satellite television and a private bathroom. Suites have the same amenities but some have full sitting areas and kitchenettes.

Beaches Sandy Bay has three gourmet-dining restaurants that are open 24-hours a day. These are the Captain’s Table (International Cuisine), Caribbean Grill (New World Caribbean Cuisine) and Paradise Plum (Italian Cuisine). Aside from these, guests can also dine at Beaches Sandy Bay’s 24-hour beachside grill. Guests can also enjoy drinks at any of Beaches Sandy Bay’s 2 bars or attend Barbeque or Beach Parties.
Other amenities at Beaches Sandy Bay include two swimming pools, 1 whirlpool, 2 tennis courts, a volleyball area, a video game center, and a fitness center with Cybex equipment, step machines, aerobics and treadmills. For outdoor water activities, professional instructors are on hand to assist those who want to scuba dive, snorkel or windsurf. Kayaks, paddle and banana boats, glass bottom boat rides are some of the water activities that can be engaged in at Beaches.
What makes Beaches Sandy Bay different from other resorts is the inclusion of children’s activities and programs in their list of services. Beaches Sandy Bay is located at Negril, the main resort area of the Island of Jamaica. Negril was discovered by the “Hippies and Flower Children” who were attracted by Jamaica’s laid-back lifestyle in the 1970s. Their interest brought about the development of Negril from a beach with only a lighthouse to guide ships, to the Caribbean paradise it is today.
Aside from the pristine beaches, tourists at Negril can also visit the Belvedere Estate, a family owned estate that was one of the first sugar cane plantations in Jamaica; the Lighthouse, Negril’s landmark which was built in 1894; and the Rhodes Hall Plantation, a 550 acre property, which also houses “Crocodile Lake”, one of the largest crocodile reserves in Jamaica. Hand crafted jewelry, paintings, carvings and sculptures by Jamaican artists may be viewed (or purchased) at Ja-Ja Originals, a studio and art gallery also located at the town of Negril. Afterwards, tourists can either dine at Kuyaba, Negril’s most romantic restaurant which is located right beside the sea, or at Xtabi’s, another romantic restaurant but this time one that is perched on a cliff. Cap off the evening with a sip or two of one of the 52 available flavors of margaritas at Margaritaville.
